Have you been thinking that you could make some pretty big money by cleaning other people's homes? Maybe you want to work, but you want to commit to something like a nine-to-five schedule. You've probably thought of the fact that you could pretty much pick the times you want to work. Do you already have a plan in mind? From putting out the word that you're available to do residential house cleaning to having a plan on how you will clean the houses, here are some ideas that might help you.

Put Out The Word - Think of people who need help in cleaning their homes. For example, women who are part of the workforce might be thrilled to have home cleaning services. Find out if you can leave flyers in the lunchrooms of business offices near you. Pass the word to school teachers that you are willing to help them with their house cleaning.

Of course, women aren't the only people who will want your cleaning services. Think of bachelors whose houses might not have been cleaned thoroughly in a very long time. You could put out the word to them by telling some of your guy friends who go to gyms or who play golf or other sports with unmarried guys or with married guys.

Offer a pretty impressive discount for first-time service.

Make A Plan - Of course, many of the people who hire you will already have a list of chores they want you to complete. However, there might be times when somebody will let you do your own thing by saying something like, You're the professional. You'll know what to do! Prove them right.

Consider having a list of chores that might need to be done. For example, besides regular chores that those who hire you might automatically expect, the list might include things like, Change bed linens, Clean Out Refrigerator, Clean The Oven, Clean The Patio, and Water The Plants. In other words, let your employers know that you are willing to go the extra mile to provide a truly clean house for them.

Do distinctive things, too. For example, when you are finished, leave a little note that says something like, Thank you for letting me clean your lovely home. Maybe you could even leave an inexpensive little sachet or a sweet-smelling votive candle behind.

For ideas, talk with friends that have experience in home cleaning services.
